By identifying, addressing and fulfilling ESG responsibilities, the ESG Committee contributes to the overall well-being of children in residential homes, reduces the organisation’s carbon footprint and enhances the organisation’s reputation and aligns its operations with ethical and sustainable practices
Ashdale Care has joined the Green Schools programme. We have formed a group of young people as the Green School Committee. A representative of this committee is involved in the ESG Committee. This ensures that all environmental concerns are integrated into the broader organisational strategies, and allows young people to contribute their ideas and perspectives directly.
We are also focused on governance and social policies to continually develop Ashdale Care as an organisation, drive growth and ensure that all
operations are guided by best practices from an ESG perspective. We continue to create a pipeline of goals and objectives for the future of Ashdale.
Fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for the children residing in the homes, prioritising their well-being, safety and development; collaboration with local communities to strengthen relationships and contribute positively to social welfare initiatives; ensuring the organisations’ activities align with ethical and socially responsible standards.
Monitoring and enforcement of ethical guidelines and standards for all staff members ensuring a commitment to integrity and transparency; establishment and overseeing policies that uphold the rights of children including privacy, dignity and equal opportunities; conducting regular assessments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and ethical practices.
Communication of ESG goals, progress and impact to stakeholders including employees, residents, families and the broader community; seeking input from stakeholders to incorporate diverse perspectives and address concerns related to ESG matters.
Provide training and awareness programs for staff, residents and other stakeholders to promote a culture of sustainability, social responsibility and ethical conduct.
Develop and publish regular reports on the organisation’s ESG performance including achievements, challenges and future goals; establish accountability mechanisms to ensure adherence to ESG principles and address any identified gaps.
